Celebrate Uncle Bo

When Tap Dance Day was inaugurated there was one dancer that everyone agreed would be appropriate to honor with the day: Bill “Bojangles” Robinson. Uncle Bo, as he was affectionately known, or more formally the Mayor of Harlem, is the reason tap dancers around the world celebrate tap dance day on May 25th, his birthday. We are happy to start Uncle Bo’s birthday month with a gathering! Let’s gather to dance, eat, and witness together the joy that tap dancing brings.
